Publicist (New York)
Narrative PR is looking for an exceptional individual to join its innovative team on groundbreaking work for the world's most influential filmmakers, actors, and production companies. Candidate must have excellent communication skills, maintain the highest level of confidentiality, have the ability to keep up with a fast-paced office, and remain composed in high-pressure environments. Must be able to multi-task under breaking deadlines and have a solution-oriented mindset to stay one step ahead of all outcomes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Lead client accounts - strategize, execute and maintain media campaigns and communicate back to the client
· Pitch and deliver tangible and valuable results to both client and other business partners
· Build strategic alliances and relationships within the industry
· Continue to network with agents and managers and well as PR leads at networks and studios. Turn to partners for higher level networking if needed.
· Strengthen press relationships for both yourself as well as others in the company
· Generate ideas / out of the box strategy for media outreach
· Collaborate on new business pitches and proposals
· Track, pursue and sign new business
· Read clients’ scripts and see movies, plays, TV shows, immerse yourself in any other projects pertaining to the client, etc.
· Client coverage including travel and tours and public appearances
· Approve and oversee servicing, bios, press kits, memos, letters, schedules, press lists and databases
· Vet and approve international and domestic press tours / junket nominations
· Handle video and photo approvals appropriately and in a timely manner (in collaboration with JR if one is present)
· Handle client memos
· Handle trade announcements
· Create and manage status reports and case studies
· Manage assistant hours and approve timesheets, where applicable
· Mentor and guide both assistants and juniors
REQUIREMENTS:
· Minimum of 1-2 years of PR agency or studio/network experience preferred.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Proactive nature that is focused, sharp, and has a hard-working spirit.
· Grace and tenacity under pressure with a positive-minded, ''can do'' attitude.
· Interested in being highly integrated into client accounts and leading projects following training period
· Motivated, resourceful, able to work independently or as part of a team.
· Be extremely well-organized and able to work in a supremely fast paced environment.
· A creative, solution-oriented thinker and a multi-tasker who can meet deadlines and manage several projects simultaneously.
· Have the ability to see the bigger picture of all tasks and will always be several steps ahead to ensure that no detail falls through the cracks.
Please note:
All candidates must live in the NYC area and be able to work in the office.
Compensation & Benefits:
Starting at $70,000 annually, DOE
